Typically when you syndicate a deal there is an asset management fee – but this shouldn’t be confused with profit or play money. This is the fee to cover the cost of actually managing the asset. Someone in the company needs to be the point of contact with the property manager. They should have regular and frequent conversations with the management team and make sure that the business plan is being implemented.
