So how exactly do you find these magical partners? We have already hit on this when talking about syndications, but I want to go through finding partners in more detail. Any business is a relationship business. Business owners and Real Estate investors often think that they can go at it alone, but make no mistake, this is a team sport. I get it, it is easy to think that you are giving away a lot of money by bringing on partners or employees. You may think you can do it on your own and you would be right. The big issue is that you will make more mistakes, have more risk and exposure, learn and grow much slower and not have nearly as much fun.
Finding any type of partner (money partners or business partners) will come through putting yourself out there and talk about what you are doing or want to do. Don’t be the shy kid in the corner that watches all the pretty girls dancing, go over there and dance! Even as an introvert, you need to put yourself out there and get out of your comfort zone.
